In Issue 176, "phew!" that was quite the weekend, with so much going on this issue is simply overflowing with photos - so many in fact we have not one but two slideshows. In Issue 169, trails and trees it is hard to have one without the other, both are at the forefront of this issue as the annual hiking celebration at Bannockburn Conservation Area will be held this Sunday and the keepers of the Bayfield River Valley Trail system remind everyone that there is no better place to view the coming fall colors than in the heart of our local forests. In our photo story, Bayfield Guiding families take part in a reforestation project at the heavily damaged Maitland Cemetery Trail in Goderich so that some day in the future, the pathway there will once again be shaded by a canopy of leaves.

In Issue 168, autumn is an excellent time to get out and enjoy the outdoors and luckily we have a lot of wonderful nature to explore right here in our own backyard. The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority and their volunteer partners are offering opportunities to do just that in the coming weeks as well as educating people on how to preserve our good fortune for future generations to enjoy. One such volunteer partner, the Bayfield River Valley Trail Association had people using the trails for a good cause on Sunday morning as they sponsored the fourth annual Terry Fox Run, this week's photo story topic.
