Bayfield Breeze - Week 3 Issue 28

It’s Wednesday, the day to expect the latest issue of the Bayfield Breeze, the village’s online news source. The Bayfield and Area Chamber of Commerce has enlisted, journalist and photographer, Melody Falconer-Pounder, to pen the weekly column and Dennis Pal will act as Web Publisher. Advertising sales are the responsibility of Mike Dixon.

The members of the Bayfield Breeze Committee are very appreciative to both the Founding and Supporting members for believing in this venture enough to provide financial support. These businesses are the reason the Bayfield Breeze will appear online each week and we encourage all of our subscribers to support them in return.

The ongoing success of the Bayfield Breeze is due in large part to those who send us ideas and submissions. They are encouraged and welcomed.

We invite our Bayfield Breeze subscribers to click on this week’s photos and see where they sail. We are now hosting our images via Flicker. This allows our subscribers to link to the images in our Flicker site. There you can do numerous things such as view larger images, comment on images, tag people, and share them with your friends and family.  It is just another way we can share our village voice with our community and beyond.

In Issue 28, we look at the ways people deal with the slower pace that the winter season affords them…watching a movie, the Bayfield Film Society and the Bayfield Optimist Club are offering opportunities to escape through cinema; learning and sharing, both the Bayfield Historical Society and the local churches are providing people the chance to do both with their upcoming luncheon and Take Time in 2010. Of course, sometimes it is better to embrace winter rather than to hide from it, as this week’s photo story demonstrates.
